Amie's practice focuses on energy regulatory law and administrative law. Amie has represented clients before FERC and the state regulatory commissions in Oregon and Alaska.

Legal Experience

Prior to joining McDowell Rackner & Gibson, Amie was an associate attorney with the Portland law firm of Ater Wynne LLP. At Ater Wynne, Amie advised utilities and developers on federal and state energy regulatory compliance, power purchase agreements, and the development of renewable energy.

Education

Amie graduated from the University of Maine in 1997, where she received her BA in Sociology summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her JD cum laude from Lewis and Clark Law School in 2005. At Lewis and Clark, Amie was Managing Editor of Environmental Law.

Representative Work

  • Advised PacifiCorp on rate cases in Oregon, Utah, and Washington
  • Advised Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. on its 2003 rate case
  • Advised Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs on development of a biomass facility

Professional Activities

  • Adjunct Professor of Northwest Energy Law at Lewis & Clark Law School, Spring 2010
  • Volunteer attorney for Legal Aid Services of Oregon and winner of the 2009 Michael E. Haglund Pro Bono Award
  • Oregon Super Lawyers “Rising Star” 2009
